  Visiting MIL tomorrow - says she has a present for us!

  we are visiting my husband's parents tomorrow but over the phone mil says she has a present for us.. the only time that she has given us a present in the eight years i have known them was one of the little books we used for the tuesday evening book study, this was presented to me all wrapped nicely in pretty paper.. i just hope that we are not in for a witnessing!.

  if it is another book there is no way i am bringing it home, i don't want any more jw crap in our house.

  we will just conveniently forget to pick it up.

  Mobile phone apps

  i have just had a new mobile phone for my birthday (having upgraded from a very old one) and was amazed to find that there is actually a "ministry" app on it for jehovahs witnesses.. i am probably a bit behind the times mentioning this but i hadn't seen any threads on it since i have been on the site and as i say am new to this type of phone with "apps".. my husband could hardly believe it when i showed him.. .

  i saw a very long thread on answerbag answering the above question in which there are several jws responding and denyng vehemently what is said in the question.

  in some places being quite rude to people.

  the dialogue highlighted yellow is me, the text highlighted blue is someone who is agreeing that the jws did preach this.

  but now to something that i have researched.

  i dont know whether you remember saying that if we keep talking about armageddon it would not come.

  but how can we warn people of the impending disaster if we dont tell them?.

  Can someone please explain what it is with JWs and Smurfs?

  i have noticed over time references to smurfs.

  i can say i never heard anything about the smurfs when i attended the kh.

  i also asked my husband who was more or less a born in but he didn't have a clue either.

  the older definition of a "generation" (the average interval between the birth of an individual and the birth of its offspring) was 20 or 25 years.

  however, genealogical studies have revealed that the common definition of a generation, 20 or 25 year average, is too simplistic and can account for large inaccuracies during statistical calculation.
